How to build a believable connection

January 21, 2026

This two‑day acting intensive with New York–based theatre and film actor Artem Lyskov offered a deep exploration of genuine partner connection.

On Day 1, “How to Build a Believable Connection,” participants learned to create a lived, truthful exchange with a scene partner - not by pretending, but by staying fully present with another human being. They practiced opening up, remaining vulnerable, listening deeply, and staying grounded in themselves.

The class explored what responsive partner energy feels like: how contact is formed, what breaks it, and what brings it back to life. Through extensive partner work, actors observed honesty, trust, and the courage required to show up authentically.

For actors, this training served as essential foundation work. For non‑actors, it became a powerful alternative to traditional communication training - real, mask‑free, and rooted in human connection. It proved valuable for anyone working in pairs or teams.
