Confidence Under Attention

January 22, 2026

This second day of the acting masterclass with New York–based actor Artem Lyskov focused on performance in its most human sense. Participants explored how nervousness works, where adrenaline comes from, and why attention can feel overwhelming — and, most importantly, how to make friends with all of it.

They broke down the nature of external attention: why it can feel heavy, and how to receive it, redirect it, and use it to their advantage. The class also examined stage fright, revealing that it’s rarely about the stage itself but about the experience of becoming “visible.”

It was a calm, practical session that applied not only to theatre but to everyday life — public speaking, meetings, presentations, new social situations, and all those moments when “everyone is looking.” The workshop helped participants feel less anxious, sound more confident, and stay alive and present rather than tense.
