Working on a role using the method of Mikhail Chekhov
January 13 - March 17
This workshop, led by director and choreographer Anna Karpukhina, invited participants to unleash the actor within and truly feel the stage. It offered a rare chance to step into the magic of theatre, where the body, imagination, and emotions became the primary instruments of expression.
Throughout the sessions, participants mastered foundational acting techniques, learned to enter characters naturally, and discovered the expressive power of physicality and imagination. The training helped them feel the stage more confidently and release physical and emotional constraint.
Grounded in the Mikhail Chekhov method, the workshop provided clear, practical tools for creating deep and memorable characters. Group work fostered live communication, support, and constructive feedback, making the experience valuable for both beginners and those with prior stage experience.
A small prerequisite enriched the process: each participant arrived knowing a favorite poem by heart (16–20 lines), and during the training they worked with selected monologues to continue their exploration.
